Baydhaba (PP News Desk) — The President of Southwest State of Somalia Abdiasis Hassan Mohamed today inaugurated in Baydhaba a conference for regional governors and district commissioners.
Organised by the Interior Ministry of the Federal Member State, participants will discuss responses to drought affected regions, making social services accessible on the basis of decentralisation and good governance.
President Abdiasis commended participants for commitment to key goals of the federal system to ensure that citizens benefit from decentralisation and have the opportunity to exercise their right to hold leaders accountable for public policy.
“Except for three districts under Al-shabaab’s control, 15 districts will form their district councils” President Abdiasis said.
Under the leadership of President Abdiasis Southwest State of Somalia made headway in service delivery, creating opportunities for youths and instilling civic spirit in citizens.
