Rwanda’s Persistent Denial: The Decades-Long Conflict Unveiled

Rwanda refuted claims from the US that its troops were linked to a fatal assault in a camp for displaced people near Goma, Congo. The violence stems from a prolonged dispute between Kigali, M23 rebels, an armed Hutu group, and the Congolese military over mineral resources. Distel Zola, a World Food Programme envoy, discussed the group’s efforts in Goma with FRANCE 24.
