In a recent update, Somalia’s Foreign Minister, Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, revealed that the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has pledged support for Somalia’s nomination of Fawzia for the AUC Chairperson position for the 2025–2028 term.
Fiqi expressed gratitude for OIC’s endorsement, noting that the organization boasts around 30 African member states.
“If Fawzia secures the support of the 30 African Union member states, she will have an advantage over other candidates, as the AU comprises 55 member states.
