Duggan Departs: Concluding Her Second Stint with Everton

After two stints with Everton, the club has confirmed Toni Duggan is exiting come month-end.

During her tenure, especially her resurgence in 2021, Duggan was a staple in nearly all matches barring the subsequent season when maternity leave called. Nonetheless, she bounced back into play last October.

Initiating her professional journey at merely 16, Duggan’s early prowess climaxed with a critical goal against Watford, catapulting Everton to the Premier League Cup final. 2009 saw her clinch the FA Women’s Young Player of the Year, and by the next year, she hoisted the FA Women’s Cup.

Alan McTavish, top brass at Everton Women, expressed gratitude for Duggan’s dedication. “Starting as a precocious talent and ascending to an FA Cup victor, Toni’s imprint on our club is indelible.”

He extended well-wishes for her forthcoming ventures. Besides her Everton saga, Duggan has adorned jerseys for Manchester City, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid while also donning England’s for 79 matches.
